It is vital that Texas library workers connect with one another in a time of crisis. To address this immediate need, the Texas State Library will be hosting a series of online discussions that will enable Texas library workers to share concerns and resources with one another. We will take a trauma-informed approach, helping to ensure that library workers are taking care of themselves as well as responding to the needs they see in their community.
The first online discussion took place on Thursday, April 2 at 2 p.m. Central. In addition to discussion amongst library staff, the agenda included an address from our State Librarian, Mark Smith, an introduction to COVID-19 related resources, and provided the schedule for subsequent calls and engagement.
