• Course Summary

Many libraries are expanding their services in nontraditional directions, from Libraries of Things and Makerspaces to greater engagement with local school districts. Nacogdoches Public Library has undertaken several new measures to address the need for STEM education in the library and in area schools. This year they began circulating STEM Kits for educators and STEM backpacks for individual families. Each kit includes equipment, materials, instructions, and TEKS-aligned projects that can be implemented with little to no advance training. Learn ways that your library, schools, homeschoolers, and parents can benefit from this program.
